• Jessica Gardner, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

The first half of my career has been spent as as an educator and I put enormous value on life-long learning. Things are always changing and we never stop growing, so when our tools and usual routines stop working the only way to live better is by discovering new ways of being. Working with a therapist can help with that and I view it like taking a course on yourself, where the goal is to understand aspects of you better.

This kind of learning happens more easily through meaningful and supportive relationships with other people. So, my aim as a therapist is always to be an understanding, caring and an effective support for my clients. I will help you to narrow down your goals and support your commitment to them because real change takes effort over time.

I am excited to be wrapping up the final stages of the process to become licensed as a Registered Psychotherapist. I work with adults and older adolescents who are looking to find better ways to manage depression, anxiety, grief, stress and poor-quality relationships. As an adoptive parent, I also have a particular interest in helping people navigate through the complicated challenges of the adoption process.
