We’re Open — Virtually
It’s early June, and we’re still social distancing. We just learned that Halton Region will have to wait another few weeks before we can begin to think about re-opening our doors to in-person appointments. But in the meantime, we’ve gotten to be really good at using videoconferencing platforms, like Zoom and doxy.me, to continue meeting with new and existing clients. Our telehealth platforms comply with Canadian privacy laws, so you can feel confident and trust in the services our psychologists and psychotherapist provide. An added bonus of working virtually is that it gives us the opportunity to work with you and your family anywhere in Ontario!
The first half of 2020 continues to be very challenging. We’re hearing stories from all over about how stressful and disruptive it has been to face so much uncertainty. From people losing jobs, parents trying to entertain kids and work from home, students missing out on the educations they were expecting, and people feeling starved for the calming reassurance that direct contact with close others can bring. Rates of anxiety and depression are rising.
Research into video therapy shows that treatment outcomes are comparable to those from in-person sessions, and there is much we can do to help you cope better, as we all make our way through this difficult time.
Get in touch by phone or email. We’re still offering appointments 6 days per week, including evenings and Saturdays, and can usually fit new clients in within one week.
Take care.
